Malik Riaz, the developer of Bahria Town, has said he is willing to donate 75% of his wealth for the welfare of the flood victims. This amounts to about 2 billion dollars.

Mr Riaz plans to build houses for the flood hit people with this money. These will be simple two-room mud-brick houses costing about 300,000 rupees each. That means shelter for about half a million families.
